Hello my name is Alexander. I am currently in grade 10. My interests include satire comedy, documentaries, mockumentaries, football, history, dogs and the great outdoors. Most weeks I go to school, maybe work a shift or two, play some PS3 and hangout with a friend or two. Other interests include, musical theatre, drama, biking, skiing, swimming and browsing social media.
When I was 4 I started playing soccer with Lakehill FC. I started my longest friendship with my friend Matthew. We met while playing on the same team and have been friends ever since. I have been loving and playing soccer ever since and have met many of my friends this way. When I switched schools for grade 6 playing soccer for Bays United FC helped me meet new people. Most of my idols growing up have been soccer players and they have influenced my life greatly.

During the summer of ‘09 I went to Disneyland and Europe. All 11 of my family on my Dad’s side went together. We stayed for nearly two weeks and and went to the theme park nearly everyday. This solidified my relationships with family members whom I rarely get to see. Later in the summer I went to England, France and Belgium with my Mum and Step-Dad. We visited many war memorials and cemeteries. The whole experience was sobering but I have been fascinated with the great war and World War 2 since I can remember so I really enjoyed the whole experience. We visited Ypres, Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele, Juno Beach and many other important Canadian historical sites. Ever since then I have wanted to go back and do it all again and add Germany to the trip.
On boxing day every year Bays United host a indoor tournament at oak bay rec. In 2015 I participated with my team. The whole time my knees were killing me and I was extremely uncomfortable. The whole soccer season I had been struggling and not developing. In early January I went to physio and saw specialists. They all told me different diagnoses but there was one constant they all told me that I had loose ACLs , a soccer players worst nightmare. Some players never recover from an ACL injury. After 9 months of being on the sideline and doing exercises every day, I finally got to start playing again and have been extremely happy about it.

I enjoy playing soccer when possible, traveling to historically important places and visiting the great outdoors for long periods of time, but most of all I like spending time with my friends and family. It has been really nice since attending Oak Bay high because I have been able to retain all my friends that matter to me while still making a ton of new friends who are chill. In the near future I hope to get outside more and browse the web less
